Happy Holidays!

Only a couple of days left until Christmas day! Are you ready for it? Families and individuals everywhere are no doubt busy in these final days leading up to the big holiday. There are cookies to be baked, parties to attend, gifts to buy and wrap, and homes to decorate. The Christmas season is full of lots of fun festivities and traditions, but with the running around that we tend to do this time of year, it is often easy to forget what real meaning of the holiday: having a giving spirit! Whether you’re giving to co-workers and friends, or family members or just people you meet in the store or on the street, having a giving spirit is important.

This holiday season it might be easy to stay in your warm and cozy home and take it for granted. Others near you may be struggling to pay the heating bill and we often lose sight of the fact that there are people out there that simply don’t have as much. Maybe you recently upgraded your heating system in your office or home and you love the new benefits of that. This season, remember all of those that are without a warm place to go home to, or a comforting meal to eat around a table with close friends or family. This season when there are all sorts of festivities happening, think about a way that you could help give back to someone in need, whether it’s a friend, family member, or someone in your local community that might need help. Next time you’re at the store stocking up on food for your next holiday get together, grab some extra cans of food and find out how you can donate to your local homeless shelter or food bank. Local organizations around town are inundated with requests for assistance during the holidays, simply because many people can’t afford to eat well.

Or, consider how you can take part in more of a hands-on giving experience, handing out blankets or putting together stockings full of toiletries, snacks, or other essentials that you can hand out to people that you see needing help in the community. There are a lot of great non-profit agencies nearby that collect clothing, diapers, and other materials that are important for families and reaching out and being involved in these types of activities is a great way to spread love and holiday cheer.

Our team at Hybrid wishes you a very Merry Christmas!
