It is 6pm, it’s windy and rainy outside, and you just got home from work. You step in the door and it is freezing inside with stagnant air. You know that you set your thermostat to 70 degrees before you left this morning for work, so what happened? After a little bit of investigating, you discover that your HVAC system has gone haywire and something is wrong.

So what do you do? Grab the phone book and pick a random company to call for repair? Get on Facebook and ask your friends who their favorite heating and cooling company is? Start reading reviews online? You’ll likely be bombarded with lots of local companies that will offer to come out and fix it, but money is tight and this is likely an unexpected repair that you hadn’t budgeted for.

How do you know which contractor to choose?
When you’re in a pinch and you just need your system fixed so you can be comfortable again, it’s easy to get trapped into making a decision that is based on cost or convenience. For many of us, the idea of saving money is one of the biggest factors in choosing a company and company credibility comes second. In the HVAC industry, there are often many advertisements and lures out there that customers see that might initially seem appealing but in fact, once you read the fine print, they aren’t great at all. Some of these come with hidden fees or stipulations that you won’t want down the road.

We recommend that you read through customer ratings on places like Google, Yelp, and Angie’s List. Scroll through the entire feedback history and look for what people are saying. Remember that every company will have occasional negative reviews, but if you are seeing those very consistently, that should be a big red flag.

Why choose Hybrid Heating & Air Conditioning?
Our commitment to each customer – no matter how big or small the job is – is to be trustworthy with each repair and service call. We provide fair prices from the get go. We’re up front and won’t trick you into getting something you don’t need. Our team of professionals is highly experienced and we believe our technicians are hand-picked for their honesty and ability to complete each job with efficiency and quality. Outstanding customer service is important to us, just like our honest advice.

We also understand that price does matter. For that reason, we offer savings and incentives regularly. Right now through November 15, some customers may be eligible for Carrier Cool Cash, which offers up to $1,400 off on select HVAC systems. There are also tax credits and energy trust incentives still available through the end of the year. Options and prices vary depending on equipment purchased. Call us for details!

Not every company is out to scam potential customers, but it’s important to do your research and follow your initial instinct. It could save you thousands of dollars!
